Archemegalobrachidae (lit. "old Megalobrachids") are the earliest form of Megalobrachidae.
Following the formation of the steppe, the Titanopoda clade diverged from the main branch around 4235ma, evolving to survive in this new habitat. The Archemegalobrachids consist of the Megalobrachids who remained in the remaining primitive forests, and have diverged less from their ancestral traits.
Archemegalobrachids measure about 1.5 meters in height, making them the smallest branch of Synischia but still significantly larger than almost every other terrestrial clade. They are exclusively browsers, and walk with a splayed posture.
