Dorypoda (lit. "spear feet") are a clade of Teleopterida.
First emerging around 4092ma, Dorypods specialize on hunting small nekton. While among the smaller Hadrorhachids, Dorypods remain prolific predators.
The most distinguishable trait of Dorypods is their feeding mechanism. Their top pair of feeding arms are harpoons used to impale prey, with their setae existing as sharp backward-angled spines. The bottom arms are broad, tooth-riddled appendages used to restrain and butcher prey before passing it into the mouth.
