Dromaeopoda (lit. "running feet") are a branch of Polyschia, consisting of pursuit hunters.
The first Dromaeopods first emerged around 4207ma, driving many Coleostracans to extinction in the process. While the earliest species were akin to foxes, the Onychodontia branch has become the apex predators of the steppe.
Dromaeopods are hypercarnivores, currently forming the largest branch of terrestrial carnivores yet seen. Their hind limbs are aligned parallel to their body, improving their speed, and their pedipalps are sharpened to more effectively butcher their prey. Dromaeopoda species can vary anywhere from 40cm to over 2 meters in height.
