Polyschia (lit. "Many hips") are a clade of Osteopoda, notable for their high mobility.
As a clade of Osteopoda, Polyschians possess a skeletal system, selective hermaphroditism, active respiration aided by spiracles, six eyes, eight legs, a pair of pedipalps, and four mandibles. Polyschians possess multiple flexible limb girdles, as opposed to the Synischia sister clade. The Polyschians' skeletal structure grants them greater maneuverability and speed than other terrestrial animals.
Early Polyschians were omnivorous: the descending lineages tend to lean more towards carnivory than the Synischian branch, although omnivory is still present in a number of species.
